DAUGHTERS OF INDIAN WARS, INC.
The Continental Society Daughters of Indian Wars was created to preserve records and historic sites of both Native Americans and Immigrant Ancestors and to encourage the memory of those who waged war in defense of their people’s freedom and ideals. Mrs. Lawrence Avery of LaGrange, Georgia was encouraged by Dr. James Edwards, who helped to form the Continental Society Sons of the Indian Wars to serve to begin founding the Continental Society Daughters of Indian Wars.
